Dance / ballet / gymnastics classes for High School students

 

 

Class times:

 

Tuesdays - 5.00 to 6.30 pm - Dance and acrobatics - (Helena)
Thursdays - 6.00 to 7.30 pm - Dance and acrobatics - (Helena and Chris)

Saturdays - 9.00 to 10 am - Ballet with or without pointe shoes (Kea)

 

Description:

 

The high school classes consist of one-third ballet, one-third gymnastics and one-third choroegraphy. In terms one and two students learn choreographic techniques for improvisation and consolidate their skills with contempory, jazz and ballet styles. In terms three and four they work on presentation pieces for the end-of-year performance at Bangara Dance Theatre at the Wharf.

 

Saturday classes are one hour pointe classes and include a performance piece on pointe. We teach and welcome boys into all our classes.

 

Class cost:

 

1 hour per week: $140 for the term. 1-1/2 hours per week: $180 for the term. Prices include accident insurance. Classes run through school terms only.
